Armed Robber Interrupts Raid To Feed Crying Baby

An armed robber with a gentle side has been arrested after he stopped mid-raid to take care of a crying baby.

Kojek Mista and four accomplices, armed with swords, guns and knives, broke into a house in Tangarang, 20 miles from the Indonesian capital of Jakarta, and held all the awake adult occupants captive.

The baby’s mother screamed when she saw the robbers in her room, and the ensuing commotion caused the boy to wake up crying. The robbers realised his mother and nanny were unable to help, since they had been tied up.

According to Mista: “I asked his mother how to make him stop crying. She said he had to be fed with milk. I gave it to the baby while cradling him. Not long after, the baby fell asleep so I put him in bed. I have a kid, so I know how to cradle a baby.”

The gang managed to escape with items worth more than £3,000 but were later caught. Four were arrested and one was shot dead by police.
