Lagos State Launches E-Ticketing Scheme For BRT Buses

The Lagos State Government on Tuesday launched the new electronic ticketing (e-ticketing) system for BRT buses in the state.

Governor Babatunde Fashola while launching the e-ticketing system at the BRT Terminal in Marina, said the scheme was to make the transportation system more efficient for both operators and users.

The e-ticketing system now allows BRT users to pay bus fares as low as N20 within a stipulated distance as against the fixed fare of N70 to N120.

Managing Director, LAMATA, Dr. Dayo Mobereola said the new system would be subsequently develop for journeys on ferries and trains .

The e-ticketing will be managed by the Lagos Area Metropolitan Transport Authority, LAMATA.
